A man faces a robot in a cage match.

Just stop and think about that for a moment.

Technology that once seemed like science fiction is becoming part of everyday life. Artificial intelligence is advancing. Robots are becoming more capable. Machines are being designed to perform tasks that once required human hands and human minds.

And I have to ask:

What is happening to our world?

Are we ready for a future where robots and artificial intelligence have greater control over our lives?

Are we ready for machines telling people what to do?

Making decisions about who gets an interview, hired, who gets denied, who gets watched, or who is considered a threat?

And how far are we willing to let this go?

I use AI myself. I enjoy some of what it can do. It can help me with spelling. It can help create images. It can help organize thoughts and accomplish everyday tasks.

But helping humanity is very different from controlling humanity.

Technology should remain a tool. It should never become our master.

The Bible reminds us that human beings have something no machine will ever possess simply because humans programmed it to imitate us.

We were created by God.

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him.”
Genesis 1:27 (KJV)

Our value does not come from our intelligence, productivity, physical strength, or technological abilities. Our value comes from our Creator.

AI may become incredibly powerful. Robots may become faster, stronger, and more sophisticated. But technological capability should never be confused with moral authority.

That distinction matters.

There are enormous questions ahead of us. Who controls these systems? What values are programmed into them? Who is accountable when they make harmful decisions? How much authority should we surrender to machines?

These aren’t questions Christians should ignore.

At the same time, we shouldn’t live in fear.

Scripture tells us:

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)

A sound mind is exactly what we need in this technological age.

We don’t have to reject every new invention. Technology can accomplish tremendous good when it is used responsibly. But neither should we blindly accept everything simply because someone has figured out how to build it.

Just because humanity can do something doesn’t mean humanity should.

AI is moving quickly—perhaps more quickly than many people realize or are comfortable with.

So Christians should remain awake, discerning, and grounded in God’s Word.

Use technology.

Learn about it.

Understand it.

But don’t worship it. Don’t blindly trust it. And don’t surrender to a machine the moral responsibility God has given human beings.

I don’t want AI running the world.

I want AI where it belongs:

As a tool in human hands—not an authority over human lives.

And above every human invention, every government, every corporation, every computer, and every machine stands a truth that technology will never overturn:

God is still God.

The future may look very different from the world we grew up in.

But our responsibility remains the same:

Stay watchful. Stay discerning. Stay faithful. And keep your trust in God—not in the machines mankind creates.
