My Public Service Announcement for Today

Oh, what a morning it’s been and it isn’t even 5 AM….

I’d like to save someone from making the same life-altering mistake I made this morning.

Never make anything in the dark.

Especially when you’re reaching for what you think is cinnamon to sprinkle into your warm oat milk.

Because sometimes…

…it’s cumin.

Friends, I took one sip and my brain completely short-circuited.

Instead of “Ahhh… cozy morning,” my taste buds screamed,  alert, alert something is not right here. What is that? my brain said ‼️ 🫤

This is why God made inventors especially the ones who invented light switches. Light switch.

I stood there wondering if my oat milk had gone bad.

Nope.

Just me.

Apparently, cinnamon and cumin look like identical twins at 4:00 a.m in the morning with one eye half open.

So today’s lesson is simple:

Turn on the light.

Read the label.

And don’t trust your sleepy self with the spice cabinet.

On the bright side, I now know cumin does not belong in coffee… or oat milk… or anywhere before 7 a.m.

Happy Wednesday, everyone.

May your coffee be strong, your cinnamon actually be cinnamon, and your mornings be far less adventurous than mine.

Have a Blessed Day

Peace ☮️
