Part 3 of 4: Israel, the Church, and God’s Unfolding Kingdom
One of the most debated questions in Bible prophecy is this:
What is God’s plan for Israel, and where does the Church fit into that plan?
To answer that question, we must remember something important:
God never breaks His promises.
Israel’s Rejection Was Not God’s Defeat
When Jesus came to Israel, many believed in Him, but the nation as a whole rejected Him as their Messiah.
Did that mean God’s promises to Israel were canceled?
The Apostle Paul answers with a resounding:
“Certainly not!” (Romans 11:1)
God had not abandoned His people.
Instead, something remarkable happened.
The Gospel began spreading to the Gentiles, and the Church was born.
What Is the Church?
The Church is not simply a building or denomination.
It is the body of Christ, made up of every believer Jew and Gentile alike who has placed their faith in Jesus Christ.
Paul describes believers as being “one new man” in Christ (Ephesians 2:15), united by grace rather than nationality.
The Church shares in the spiritual blessings of God’s promises through Christ.
But Scripture never says the Church replaces Israel.
Instead, God is accomplishing His purposes through both according to His perfect plan.
Has God Finished with Israel?
Romans chapters 9–11 provide one of the clearest answers in Scripture.
Paul writes:
“Has God rejected His people? By no means!”
He goes on to explain that Israel has experienced a temporary hardening until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in.
Then God’s redemptive work with Israel will continue according to His covenant promises.
The same God who promised Abraham a nation…
The same God who promised David an everlasting throne…
Is the same God who always keeps His Word.
His faithfulness never changes.
Looking Toward the Kingdom
Today we live in the age of God’s grace as the Gospel continues to spread throughout the world.
But this is not the end of the story.
The Bible points forward to a future restoration, the return of Christ, the defeat of evil, and the establishment of His righteous Kingdom.
God’s plan has never been divided.
It has always been moving toward one glorious destination:
The return of the King.

The promise of a coming King became even clearer through another covenant this time with a shepherd who became Israel’s greatest king.
A King After God’s Heart
David was far from perfect, yet God chose him for a remarkable purpose.
In 2 Samuel 7, God made a covenant unlike any before it. He promised David that one of his descendants would sit on his throne forever.
Not for one generation.
Not for one dynasty.
Forever.
This wasn’t merely about Solomon or the kings of Judah. It pointed to Someone far greater.
The prophets understood this promise. They looked beyond their own day to a future King who would reign with perfect justice, righteousness, and peace.
The Prophets Kept the Hope Alive
As Israel drifted from God, the kingdom divided, and eventually both Israel and Judah were taken into exile.
It seemed as though God’s promises had failed.
But the prophets declared otherwise.
Isaiah foretold:
“For unto us a Child is born…and the government shall be upon His shoulder…Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David…” (Isaiah 9:6–7)
Jeremiah promised a Righteous Branch from David’s line.
Ezekiel spoke of one Shepherd who would rule God’s people forever.
Micah even identified the Messiah’s birthplace Bethlehem hundreds of years before Jesus was born.
Generation after generation, God reminded His people:
The King is still coming.
Jesus Fulfills the Promise
When the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary, he echoed God’s covenant with David:
“The Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David…and of His kingdom there will be no end.” (Luke 1:32–33)
Jesus was born in Bethlehem.
He came from the family line of David.
He fulfilled prophecy after prophecy that no ordinary man could accomplish.
Yet many expected a political ruler who would overthrow Rome.
Instead, Jesus came first to conquer something far greater than earthly empires , sin and death.
His first coming fulfilled the promises of the suffering Messiah.
His second coming will fulfill the promises of the reigning King.
Looking Ahead
Jesus came exactly as the prophets foretold.
But many of God’s Kingdom promises are still awaiting their complete fulfillment.
What happened when Israel rejected her Messiah?
Where does the Church fit into God’s unfolding plan?
Those questions lead us into Part Three, where we will explore the relationship between Israel, the Church, and God’s unfolding Kingdom plan.
One of the biggest lies many people believe is that God is angry with them.
They think every hardship, illness, or disappointment is God’s way of punishing them. They believe He’s keeping score, waiting for them to mess up again.
I used to think this way my cell phone occasion because sometimes it seemed like the better I was or the harder I tried the more I got beat down the more things life threw at me.
I’ve seen people I’ve loved die very young I’ve seen people go through horrible hardships really good people and then I’ve seen people who were right out. Evil seem like the world handed them everything they wanted no struggle no sickness and all I could think of is how hard do people have to pray for things to change thinking what did I do to get punished? What did they do to get punished but that’s the wrong thought mentality.
That is not who God is.
Yes, God hates sin—but because sin destroys the people He loves. Just as a loving parent hates anything that harms their child, God opposes sin because it separates us from Him and robs us of the life He wants for us.
The Bible tells us that God is love (1 John 4:8). His desire has always been to rescue us, restore us, and draw us closer—not to push us away.
Jesus proved that when He willingly gave His life for us.
“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8
Notice it doesn’t say He waited until we had our lives together. He loved us first. i’m grateful for that because I am always a work in progress..
God knows every flaw, every mistake, and every regret, yet He still delights in you. Zephaniah 3:17 says He rejoices over His people with singing. That’s not the picture of an angry God looking for reasons to condemn us.
Does God correct His children? Yes. Loving parents correct because they care. Correction is meant to guide us, not destroy us.
Jesus also reminded us that our Heavenly Father gives good gifts to His children (Matthew 7:11). He wants to give us wisdom, peace, hope, strength, and everything we truly need.
Living in a broken world means sickness, tragedy, and hardship are part of the human experience. They are not proof that God has abandoned you or is punishing you. Instead, He promises to walk with us through every trial and never leave us.
If you’ve been carrying the weight of believing God is against you, let that burden go.
He loves you.
He values you.
He has a purpose for your life.
And He has never stopped wanting a relationship with you.
God isn’t standing with folded arms waiting for you to fail.
He’s standing with open arms, inviting you to come home.
Start getting into the word of God and you will hear him clearer than you have ever heard him before
We face illness, grief, broken relationships, financial struggles, job loss, or unexpected moves. In those moments, it can be easy to let fear take over. We may stop praying. We may stop reading God’s Word. We may begin to wonder if God has forgotten us.
But the truth is this:
God is still the same awesome God He has always been.
People often ask, “If God is so awesome, why does He allow sickness, suffering, and loss?”
My honest answer is simple: I don’t know.
What I do know is that God is an awesome God—loving, faithful, and always present. He invites us to lean on Him, trust Him, and believe that He is working even when we cannot understand what is happening.
God is not a genie who waves a magic wand and makes life perfect.
We are only seeing one small piece of a much larger puzzle.
We question the broken pieces because we cannot see the full picture.
But God sees the finished masterpiece.
And He knows exactly what He is doing.
Remember this:
A yes from God blesses you.
A no from God protects you.
A wait from God prepares you.
Waiting is never easy, but God is using that season to strengthen your faith and prepare you for what He already knows is coming.
So if you are walking through a difficult season, keep trusting.
Keep praying.
Keep reading His Word.
Keep believing.
Because God is an awesome God—all the time.
And even when life doesn’t make sense, God is still an awesome God.
“God’s gift to me is today; my gift to Him is how I live it.”
Today is Palm Sunday already! Today is a powerful reminder of the day Jesus entered Jerusalem, welcomed by crowds who waved palm branches and shouted, “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” (John 12:13). It was a moment filled with praise, hope, and expectation.
Yet, what makes Palm Sunday so meaningful is not just the celebration—but what follows. The same voices that cried out in worship would, days later, fall silent or even turn away. It’s a sobering reminder of how easy it is to be close to God in moments of joy, but distant when life becomes difficult or uncertain.
Palm Sunday invites us to examine our own hearts.
Are we walking closely with God daily—or only when it’s convenient?
Why Reading Your Bible Matters
God’s Word is not just a book—it is life, truth, and guidance. When we read the Bible, we learn who God is, how deeply He loves us, and how we are called to live. Without it, we are more easily influenced by the world—its noise, its fears, and its distractions.
A closer walk with God doesn’t happen by accident. It comes through intentional time with Him—through prayer, through reading His Word, and through seeking Him daily.
Even a few minutes a day can begin to transform your heart and mind.
God Wants a Relationship With You
No matter what you’ve done.
No matter where you’ve been.
No matter how far you feel.
God loves you.
He is not waiting for you to be perfect—He is waiting for you to come to Him. Palm Sunday is a reminder that Jesus came humbly, willingly, and lovingly… for you.
He sees you.
He knows your struggles.
And He desires a real, personal relationship with you.
Take a Step Today
Let today be more than just a date on the calendar. Let it be a turning point.
Open your Bible.
Say a simple prayer.
Talk to God like you would a friend.
Because that’s what He truly wants—a relationship, not just religion.
Hosanna—Lord, save us. And thank You… for loving us first.
Women of Scripture: Mary, the Mother of Jesus — Courage, Humility, and Obedient Faith
Mary, the mother of Our Lord Jesus stands as one of the most profound examples of faithful obedience in all of Scripture. Her story is not just a Christmas narrative—it is a daily invitation for how we, too, can live with courage, humility, and trust in God.
Mary was young, ordinary, and living a quiet life when God chose her for an extraordinary purpose. When the angel Gabriel appeared and told her she would conceive by the Holy Spirit, Mary faced a moment that could have been filled with fear, confusion, or refusal. Instead, she responded with words that still echo through generations:
“I am the Lord’s servant. May your word to me be fulfilled.”
Those words reveal the heart of Mary. She didn’t ask for guarantees. She didn’t demand explanations. She didn’t negotiate the cost. She trusted God completely—even knowing the personal risk, social judgment, and uncertainty that awaited her.
Mary’s Strength Was Quiet—but Unshakable
Mary’s faith was not loud or attention-seeking. It was steady, reflective, and deeply rooted in trust. Scripture often tells us that Mary “pondered these things in her heart.” She listened more than she spoke. She reflected before reacting. She trusted God’s promises even when she didn’t yet understand them.
From the manger to the cross, Mary remained faithful. She carried Jesus in her womb, raised Him with love, and later stood at the foot of the cross, witnessing unimaginable sorrow—yet still believing God’s plan was at work.
What We Can Learn from Mary Today
1. Say yes to God, even when it’s uncomfortable.
Mary teaches us that obedience doesn’t require full understanding—only trust. God often calls us into things that stretch us beyond our comfort.
2. Humility invites God’s power.
Mary didn’t see herself as important or worthy; she saw herself as available. God works mightily through humble hearts.
3. Faith means trusting God with your reputation.
Mary risked misunderstanding and judgment, choosing obedience over approval. Today, we are reminded to seek God’s will—not public opinion.
4. Strength doesn’t always look loud.
Mary’s strength was found in perseverance, reflection, and quiet endurance. In a noisy world, her example calls us back to stillness and trust.
5. Treasure God’s work in your heart.
Mary teaches us to slow down, reflect, and hold God’s promises close—especially in seasons of uncertainty.
Becoming More Like Mary
To be more like Mary today means living with surrendered faith. It means trusting God when the path is unclear, choosing obedience when it’s costly, and believing that God can work through our ordinary lives in extraordinary ways.
Mary reminds us that God doesn’t look for perfection—He looks for willingness.
May we, like Mary, respond to God with open hearts and willing spirits, saying each day:
Happy Monday! Today is a fresh start, a new opportunity to walk in God’s grace and renew our spirits. As we begin this week, remember to be gentle with yourself. No matter what yesterday brought, today is a new day full of possibilities. Give yourself permission to let go of any harsh self-judgment and step into this day with compassion and grace.
Take a moment to forgive those who may have hurt you or spoken unkind words—whether intentionally or not. Often times there are two sides to every story actually three sides there’s yours and the right one. I think often times we hold grudges for the wrong reasons. I personally don’t believe in holding a grudge, but there have been times where I’ve been angry at someone because I misunderstood something if you let that wall continue to build, especially if it’s with family or friends there’s going to come in time where there’s like a point of no return and then what good to set to anyone you’re both not doing God‘s word or doing his wishes which is forgiving others And honoring your family
Holding onto bitterness only weighs us down, but forgiveness frees us to move forward. Release any resentment into God’s hands and trust in His power to heal and restore.
Thank God for waking you up this morning. His mercy is new every morning, and His love never fails. No matter how big or small your problems seem, remember that you are never alone. God is always with you, guiding, comforting, and strengthening you through every challenge.
Whatever you’re facing this week, hold on to the promise that you will get through it. With faith and trust in the Lord, brighter days are ahead. Walk in confidence, knowing that His grace is sufficient, and His strength is made perfect in our weakness.

Thanking God creates a heart of gratitude that refreshes our spirit and renews our faith. It’s an act of worship, acknowledging that everything good in our lives comes from Him.

Let’s walk into the weekend with thankful hearts, trusting that God’s grace is sufficient for all our needs. Truly, every day is a gift—let’s give thanks and praise His holy name.

God has placed you in this unique scenario for a reason. He is calling you to rise above the ordinary, to shed the layers of familiarity that no longer serve your growth. It can be daunting to step away from the crowd, especially when it feels like you’re drifting from the people you once knew so intimately. But remember, this transformation is not just a call to be different; it’s a divine invitation to embrace your true self.
You’ve been saved by grace—a concept that is as profound as it is liberating. Grace means that you have been pulled from the pits of darkness and set free to live a life filled with purpose. It’s important to understand that grace covers every part of you; every sin, both those you’ve confessed and those buried deep within your heart. This unconditional love from God doesn’t give you a license to revert to old ways. Instead, it empowers you to break free from the chains that once bound you, allowing you to step into a new identity that reflects His love and forgiveness.
You are no longer the person you once were. Your slate has been wiped clean, and now your name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. This is not just a change in status; it’s an invitation to walk in the fullness of what it means to be a child of God. Picture it: one day, you will be raised up and seated with our heavenly Father, basking in the glory of His presence. But until that time comes, you have a crucial role to play here on Earth.
Every day is an opportunity to demonstrate the transformative power of grace in your life. Be a shining example of what it means to be saved. Your actions, thoughts, and words should reflect the incredible gift you have received. It’s about embracing a new way of thinking and living—one that honors the grace that has been bestowed upon you.
So, when you feel different or out of place, remind yourself that being set apart is part of God’s plan for you. Take pride in the fact that you are evolving, growing, and becoming the person He has always intended you to be. Let your life be a testament to the truth that you are indeed a new creation. Walk boldly into the future He has for you, knowing that His grace is sufficient for every challenge you face.
Celebrate the journey! Embrace the new attitude, the fresh perspective, and the beautiful life that awaits you. You are not alone—God is with you every step of the way, guiding you toward a destiny filled with hope, purpose, and love.
