Embracing Change: Our Journey from Winter to Eternal Summer

Hello to all my favorite readers! Can you believe it’s the last weekend of summer, Labor Day weekend? It feels like just yesterday that summer began, and I’m definitely not ready for it to be over yet. Although I love the fall season, I must confess that I have a love-hate relationship with winter. It feels like my bones consider winter to be their enemy, and I’m sure many of you can relate.

This year marks a significant change for us. It’s going to be our first year without the chilling embrace of winter because we are relocating to the beautiful state of Florida in September, which happens to be this very month. As I sit here and write this, we’re still not exactly sure of the date we’ll be leaving because we still have an overwhelming amount of tasks to complete.

Relocating can be quite a task, especially when you’re dealing with rooms full of furniture to donate or give away, the process of packing up your life, and a garage filled with three riding mowers and all sorts of tools and equipment. You see, my husband has always had a green thumb, and he took care of his parents’ yard back when we had a house of our own. We accumulated a wide range of tools, from air compressors to yard tools – you name it, we’ve got it. Figuring out what to do with all of it is a challenge in itself!

It’s truly amazing how quickly time has flown by this summer. Since July, we’ve been making the most of our time here in Ohio by visiting all the local festivals and fairs. We know that once we’re a thousand miles away in Florida, it won’t be as easy to do this every year. Of course, we’ll still come back to Ohio to visit my wonderful Mother-In-Law. I wish she would come with us; life would be a lot easier if she did.

I consider myself incredibly fortunate because I’ve always had a great relationship with my Mother-In-Law. From the day I met her, she’s been sweet, kind, and just an amazing woman. I’m going to miss her dearly, which is why I wish she’d join us in Florida. However, I understand why she chooses to stay. She has a home here, and leaving it behind is not an easy decision.

I know it’s going to be tough on my husband too, as he’s been taking care of her yard and the exterior of her home. Our parents aren’t getting any younger; mine are both deceased, and we want to spend as much time with them as we can. But at the same time, we also need to make this move while we’re still able to do so. We want to embrace the change as summer comes to an end and the beauty of fall begins.

As we bid farewell to summer, let’s be grateful for all the opportunities life has given us and look forward to the ones that lie ahead. May you all have a blessed day and enjoy what’s left of summer. We’ll see you again in a couple of days with more updates on our journey.

Sam the Weatherman

In a small town in Iowa there lived a man named Samuel. Samuel was no ordinary man; he was a meteorologist with a remarkable ability. His forecasts were uncannily accurate, earning him respect and admiration from his community. It seemed as though he could predict the weather with unerring precision, but little did anyone know that God had extraordinary plans for him.

In this picturesque town, where conversations often revolved around farming and the ever-changing weather, Samuel’s presence was a beacon of hope. His weather predictions guided the farmers, allowing them to plan their crops and protect their livelihoods. Samuel was a trusted figure in the town, known for his humility and willingness to help others.

As time went on, the word of Samuel’s gift spread beyond the town’s borders. People from neighboring towns sought his expertise, and soon, Samuel found himself teaching weather classes to both adults and children. His passion for meteorology was infectious, and his classes became a hub of learning and discovery.

Adults marveled at his insights into the atmosphere and weather patterns, while children gazed at the skies with newfound wonder. Samuel didn’t just teach them about clouds and weather; he instilled in them a sense of preparedness for life’s uncertainties. He emphasized the importance of being ready for whatever challenges lay ahead, just as one prepares for unexpected storms.

One sunny afternoon, as Samuel stood before a group of eager students, he shared a profound message: “Just as we prepare for storms in the physical world, we must also prepare our hearts and spirits for the storms of life. God has a plan for each one of us, and sometimes, it may lead us through turbulent times. But remember, even when the skies are gray, there is hope.”

He opened his Bible and read aloud: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11) His words resonated deeply with his students, young and old alike.

As the years passed, Samuel’s reputation as a meteorologist and a teacher continued to grow. He remained steadfast in his faith and humble in his abilities. The town flourished, and the community became more resilient, both in their understanding of the weather and their trust in God’s plans.

One day, a significant storm approached the town. Samuel’s forecast predicted its arrival, and the community heeded his warnings, making the necessary preparations. The storm raged, but the town stood strong, for they had learned from Samuel not only about the weather but also about resilience, faith, and hope.

In the aftermath of the storm, Samuel addressed his community, reminding them of the lessons he had taught. “Just as we prepared for this storm, we must also prepare our hearts to face life’s challenges. Together, with faith in God’s plan, we can weather any storm that comes our way.”

The town’s people nodded in agreement, grateful for the wisdom Samuel had shared. They knew that their beloved meteorologist had not only guided them through the weather but had also led them toward a deeper understanding of faith and hope.

Samuel’s story serves as a reminder that even when life seems predictable, God has extraordinary plans for each of us. With faith, resilience, and trust in His guidance, we can weather any storm and find hope in His promise.

Farewell, Summer!

Hello, dear readers! It’s that time of year again – the Canfield Fair is in full swing, and in my part of Ohio, that signals the official end of summer. This fair, the largest county fair in the state, has a way of marking the transition from long, lazy days to the crisp embrace of autumn. As I prepare to post some of my favorite fair moments on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok by Labor Day evening, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the highlights of my summer.

As I look back on the past few months, it’s difficult to pinpoint a single “best part” because each summer has its unique charm. Whether it’s a BBQ, a day at the beach, or simply enjoying the warm sunsets, or packing to move and have a new start , every moment is a treasure.

Now, as we bid farewell to summer and usher in the enchanting season of fall, I’d like to leave you with two positive quotes:

  1. “Every ending is a new beginning; as summer fades, the beauty of fall emerges.”
  2. “Summer may be ending, but the warmth of its memories will keep our hearts aglow.”

And a Bible verse on seasons:

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV) – “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”

Let’s welcome fall with open arms, no matter where we live and if your in an area where the leaves change Enjoy!!

Have a blessed day, and may this upcoming season bring you joy, inspiration, and a sense of renewal. 🍂🎃

Self care and sensational Saturday

Good morning, everyone, and welcome to this Happy Sensational Saturday. As we embark on another weekend filled with opportunities for rest, joy, and renewal, let’s take a moment to reflect on the importance of self-care.

In our bustling lives, whether we’re tending to our families, fulfilling work commitments, or overcoming personal challenges, we often forget the vital act of caring for ourselves. But just as we’re reminded during every flight safety demonstration, we must secure our own oxygen masks before assisting others. Similarly, self-care is the foundation on which our ability to care for others rests.

Self-care isn’t selfish; it’s a deliberate act of nourishing our minds, bodies, and spirits. It’s a pathway to becoming more resilient, compassionate, and effective individuals. Each day, let’s dedicate time to these acts of rejuvenation. A few moments with our Bible can be spiritually enriching, guiding us through life’s journey. Moments of meditation can offer solace amidst the chaos, and practicing mindful breathing can help anchor us in the present.

I encourage you to embark on a self-care journey. Start by carving out time for scripture each morning and evening. Engage in moments of meditation that allow your mind to find peace. Try the 4-5-6 breathing technique to experience a calm sense of balance. Remember, these steps need not be arduous; a few minutes can make a world of difference.

To support you, I’ve included five self-care tips, five Bible verses, a Psalm, and a short meditation. These resources are at your disposal to weave into your routine, guiding you towards a lighter, more grounded existence.

  4. Digital Detox: Take a break from screens. Disconnect from technology for a while and engage in analog activities.
  5. Nourishing Naps: Prioritize quality sleep. A short nap can recharge your energy and boost your mood.

Psalm:
Psalm 23:1-3 (NIV)
“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul.”

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

Faithful Friday: Embracing the Weekend with Gratitude and Joy

Faithful Friday: Embracing the Weekend with Gratitude and Joy

As the workweek comes to a close and the weekend beckons, it’s an opportune moment to reflect on the significance of Faithful Friday. This is a day to not only anticipate the weekend’s relaxation but also to foster gratitude, connect with loved ones, and deepen our spiritual foundation. In this blog post, we’ll explore the essence of Faithful Friday, the importance of showing gratitude, spending quality time with family and friends, and starting each day with spiritual nourishment.

  1. Cultivating Gratitude:
Faithful Friday provides a chance to pause and count our blessings. Gratitude is a powerful practice that shifts our focus from what’s lacking to what’s abundant in our lives. As the week concludes, take a moment to reflect on the positive experiences and accomplishments, no matter how small they may seem.
  2. Cherishing Family and Friends:
Weekends offer the perfect opportunity to strengthen the bonds with our family and friends. Whether it’s a leisurely meal, a heartfelt conversation, or engaging in a fun activity together, these moments create lasting memories and reinforce the importance of relationships.
  3. Extending a Helping Hand:
Remember to carry the spirit of generosity from the workweek into the weekend. Engage in acts of kindness and service, whether it’s volunteering, helping a neighbor, or supporting a local cause. These actions not only benefit others but also bring a sense of fulfillment to our own lives.
  4. Starting the Day with Spiritual Nourishment:
Just as we nourish our bodies with food, our souls require spiritual sustenance. Begin each day with a moment of quiet reflection and a Bible reading. This sets a positive tone for the day, providing guidance and perspective as we navigate life’s challenges.

Two Bible Quotes:

  1. “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” – Psalm 118:24
  2. “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” – Romans 8:28

Two Quotes on Having a Good Weekend and Showing Gratitude:

  1. “The weekend is a time to unwind, a time to reflect, and a time to be grateful for the moments that matter.”
  2. “Gratitude turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity… it makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” – Melody Beattie

Faithful Friday serves as a reminder to approach the weekend with a heart full of gratitude and a spirit of connection. As we relish the moments with our loved ones, extend kindness to others, and nurture our spiritual well-being, we enrich our lives and set a positive tone for the days ahead. So, let this Faithful Friday be a catalyst for embracing the weekend with joy, gratitude, and purpose.

Reflecting on Legacy and Life: A Glimpse into the Future

Good morning happy thought provoking Thursday let’s take a moment to think about this.

Reflecting on Legacy and Life: A Glimpse into the Future

In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, we often find ourselves engrossed in the pursuit of material success and possessions. Now don’t get me wrong. There’s nothing wrong with living a beautiful home and nice car some beautiful possessions as long as we don’t get obsessive and put the possessions over our faith so this topic is just to provoke a thought. .

It’s worth taking a moment to contemplate a thought-provoking reality that lies ahead. In the year 2123, we will most likely have passed on from this world, leaving behind the homes we cherished and the possessions we accumulated, only to be inhabited by strangers who will create their own stories within those walls.

Think about it – the car you treasured, the intricately furnished living room, the backyard where countless memories were made – all of these will become part of a history unknown to those who come after us. Our lives, so vivid and meaningful to us, will fade into obscurity as generations march forward.

“For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?” – Mark 8:36

Amidst this reflection, it becomes apparent that what truly matters are the stories behind the possessions – the tales of resilience, love, and dedication that brought them into existence. Our ancestors faced hardships we can scarcely imagine, yet they persevered and built the foundation upon which our lives stand today.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” – Jeremiah 29:11

As we ponder our own legacy, let us also remember the moments that truly define our existence. The late-night conversations with loved ones, the laughter that echoed through our homes, and the embrace of a family member after a long day – Spending time with an old friend just talking, laughing reminiscing for touring with family or friends, an art museum that was free but enjoying the time that you just spent with each other because it’s a beautiful rare thing Or snowboarding with a friend that you haven’t seen or just being with your best friend sharing moments, laughing, enjoying each other’s company these are the gems that sparkle in the tapestry of life.

I personally think it would be a great thing if you made a journal so future generations and family members could enjoy your joy, but also include times that you struggled because we all know that it’s some point in our life whether it’s when were young or old or middle-aged or a combination of all the above we all go through struggles we all go through pain we all go through grief, And I think it’s good the future generations, know that we had ups and downs in our life, but we came out stronger.

In the words of Helen Keller, “Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.” And as Albert Einstein wisely noted, “Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value.”

Imagine if we shifted our focus from amassing possessions to enriching our lives and the lives of those around us. Picture a life where we seize the opportunities to create lasting memories – attending dance recitals, participating in family gatherings, and nurturing relationships that stand the test of time.

In the end, it’s not the number of cars parked in our driveway or the size of our bank accounts that define us. It’s the love we shared, the kindness we extended, and the moments of connection that endure beyond our years.

So, as you journey through life, ask yourself: How do you want to be remembered? Will you be celebrated for your material achievements, or will your legacy be one of love, laughter, and cherished relationships? The choice is yours, and it’s a choice that can shape not only your life but the lives of generations to come.

And please don’t take this wrong I am not saying or suggesting if you are wealthy or if you’re stinking Rich that you should be feeling guilty for having money that is not what I’m saying at all because hard work dedication should always pay off what I am saying is money is important to live, but you don’t want to be remembered for just being a hard-working person.

You would want to be remembered for being a good person, a kind person a great friend, someone Who not just works hard, but takes time to enjoy a beautiful, glorious sunrise. Someone who enjoys just talking with a friend over coffee because that really in riches peoples lives when we have that human connection. May all of you. Have a blessed day.

Stop and take time to enjoy the sunrise

Embracing God’s Plan: A Pathway to Fulfillment

Embracing God’s Plan: A Pathway to Fulfillment

In a world brimming with uncertainty, having a clear plan for your life can be the compass that guides you through the uncharted waters. Imagine living a life without direction, simply treading water, waiting for the next wave to knock you off balance. It’s a reality no one wishes to experience. Fortunately, we have the opportunity to align our lives with a higher purpose – a plan laid out for us by the divine.

Life is a journey filled with twists and turns, successes and setbacks, joy and sorrow. Amidst this intricate tapestry, there’s a divine plan that we can tune into. Many believe that God has a unique purpose for each of us, a grand design that if we listen closely enough, we can decipher. But how do we hear this plan? Are we even willing to listen?

Listening to God’s plan involves more than just hearing words; it requires an open heart and a willingness to be guided. Just as a ship needs a captain to navigate through treacherous waters, we need to be attuned to the whispers of destiny. Every experience, every challenge, every triumph – they are all threads woven into the fabric of our purpose. By being attentive to the lessons presented to us, we can start to unravel the map of our life’s journey.

Success, as defined by God’s plan, isn’t limited to material wealth. It encompasses a rich and meaningful life, full of purpose and contribution. It’s about recognizing our talents, passions, and the opportunities placed before us. It’s about using our gifts to make a positive impact on the world around us.

Living in alignment with God’s plan requires effort. It’s not a passive endeavor. We must actively seek understanding, embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, and be grateful for the blessings that come our way. As we navigate our path, we can’t forget the importance of gratitude. Each step forward, each achievement, is an opportunity to give thanks for the guidance and grace we’ve received.

Wednesday Positive Quote: “Believe in the beauty of your dreams and the power of your potential.”

Bible Verse: Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Remember having plans for our lives is essential for steering us away from a stagnant existence. God’s plan is a guiding light that leads us towards a life of purpose, regardless of external circumstances. By listening closely, remaining open, and embracing challenges, we can uncover the blueprint of our journey and find fulfillment in living out our divine purpose. Remember, success is not solely about riches, but about leading a life rich in meaning, love, and service.

Flying with Reverence (Storytelling)

In the world of aviation, there lived a pilot named James who was truly captivated by the wondrous beauty that unfolded before his eyes every time he took control of a large plane. While others may have grown accustomed to the breathtaking vistas seen from the cockpit, James never ceased to be amazed by the miracle of flight and the stunning landscapes that stretched beneath him.

With every flight he undertook, James felt a deep sense of gratitude and wonder. As he maneuvered through the skies, he would often find himself whispering words of thanks to the heavens for the privilege of being a part of such a magnificent experience. He believed that the view from up above was a reminder of the world’s inherent beauty, and he cherished every moment he spent in the air.

Before each flight, James would take a quiet moment to bow his head in prayer. He sought guidance from above, asking for safe travels not only for himself but for all those aboard his plane. His faith was an integral part of his flying routine, a source of strength that reassured him and imbued him with a sense of purpose.

After the wheels touched down and the plane came to a gentle halt, James would take another moment to offer his gratitude. As his passengers disembarked with smiles on their faces, they couldn’t help but notice the serene aura that surrounded him. Some passengers even stopped to express their appreciation for the smooth journey, unaware of the heartfelt rituals that James observed before and after each flight.

Over time, James’s reputation as a skilled and caring pilot spread throughout the aviation community. His dedication to his passengers’ safety and his genuine awe of the world’s beauty set him apart. People felt a sense of reassurance knowing that their journeys were guided by someone who cherished both the art of flight and the world it showcased.

As the years went by, James continued to fly with the same sense of awe and reverence that had guided him from the beginning. The routine of thanking God and offering prayers remained unchanging, a testament to his unwavering faith and his unyielding appreciation for the miracle of flight.

And so, the pilot who never took the miraculous beauty for granted continued to soar through the skies, his heart and soul forever intertwined with the grandeur of the world below and the heavens above.
