The Power to Obey: Activating Faith Through Action”

Today we are called to explore a powerful theme that lies at the heart of our faith: obedience.

In a world filled with challenges, misunderstandings, and unmet expectations, we often find ourselves grappling with how to respond to those who hurt us, how to step into roles that stretch our capabilities, and how to follow God’s instructions even when they seem daunting. The power to obey is not merely about following rules; it is an act of faith that transforms our hearts and our lives.

The Challenge of Forgiveness
Let’s begin with forgiveness. When someone hurts us deeply, our instinct may be to hold on to that pain, to seek retribution or to retreat into bitterness. However, in Matthew 6:14-15, Jesus teaches us that “if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.” Forgiveness may feel impossible, but it is a command from God. You don’t have to become their friend or hang out with them, but you should obey God and forgive them.

When we choose to forgive, we activate the power of obedience. This power frees us from the chains of resentment and allows God’s grace to flow through us. Consider Joseph in Genesis. After being betrayed by his brothers, he could have chosen revenge, but instead, he forgave them and said, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good” (Genesis 50:20). His obedience to forgive transformed not only his own life but the lives of many others.

Stepping Into the Unknown
Next, let’s talk about stepping into positions or responsibilities we feel unqualified for. How many times have we hesitated to take a job, lead a ministry, or embark on a new venture because we doubted our ability? Yet, God often calls us to places beyond our comfort zones.

In 1 Samuel 16, God chose David to be king when he was just a shepherd boy, seemingly unqualified for such a noble position. But David didn’t allow his insecurity to dictate his response. He obeyed God’s call, and through his faithfulness, he became a man after God’s own heart.

When we accept God’s call, even in our unpreparedness, we activate His power within us. Philippians 4:13 reminds us, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” It is not about our qualifications but about our willingness to obey and trust in God’s equipping.

Acting on God’s Instructions
Finally, let’s discuss the importance of acting upon God’s instructions. James 1:22 exhorts us to be “doers of the word, and not hearers only.” When God gives us guidance, whether through Scripture, prayer, or the promptings of the Holy Spirit, it’s crucial to act.

Imagine Moses at the Red Sea. Faced with an insurmountable obstacle and the threat of Pharaoh’s army, what if Moses had hesitated? Instead, he obeyed God’s instructions to lift his staff, and the waters parted. His action in obedience activated God’s miraculous power to deliver His people.

Remember that the power to obey is transformative. When we forgive those who have wronged us, we release both them and ourselves from the burdens of unforgiveness. When we step into roles we feel unqualified for, we open ourselves to God’s training and growth. And when we act on God’s instructions, we witness His mighty hand at work.

Let us, therefore, commit ourselves to activate this power through obedience. Let’s choose to forgive, embrace new opportunities, and act faithfully on God’s Word. As we walk in obedience, we will experience the fullness of life that comes from trusting God completely. May we pray for strength and courage to obey, knowing that our faithful actions invite divine power into our lives. Amen.

When Life Throws Us Curveballs, We Need to Plant Our Feet Firmly in God More Than Ever

Life has way of surprising us, often when least expect it. Just when we think we have everything figured out, circumstances change, throwing us into a whirlwind of emotions, be it grief, illness, or any unexpected challenge that leaves us feeling lost and uncertain. In these moments of turmoil, it is crucial to anchor ourselves in our faith and cling to the promise of God’s unwavering presence.

When facing the storms of life, it’s easy to become overwhelmed by our circumstances. Grief can feel like a heavy weight, illness can sap our strength, and sudden changes can leave us feeling disoriented. An illness can leave us questioning everything even when we try to keep the faith. A job loss can leave us fearful, an addiction can gave us bargaining with the devil, not just for ourselves but for the ones that we love who gave addiction.

Yet, amidst these challenges, we must remember that we are not alone. God invites us to lean on Him, to find refuge in His love, and to trust in His plan for our lives.

Planting Our Feet Firmly in Faith

To plant our feet firmly in God means to establish our faith on a foundation that is unshakeable. The winds may howl, and the waves may crash around us, but we can find solace in the knowledge that God is our steadfast rock.

One of the Bible verses that encapsulates this truth is Psalm 46:1-2: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea.” This verse reassures us that even when the world seems to fall apart, God is there, providing comfort and strength.

Holding on to Hope

It is in our most challenging times that hope becomes our lifeline. Hope reminds us that every season, no matter how dark, is temporary. God is working behind the scenes, orchestrating plans for our good even when we cannot see them.

As we confront our struggles, we must hold tightly to our faith in God’s goodness. In Jeremiah 29:11, we are reminded of God’s promises: “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This powerful message encourages us to maintain our faith and trust that a brighter tomorrow awaits.

Never Lose Hope

In moments of despair, it can feel as though hope is slipping away, but we must never lose sight of it. Hope fuels our faith, igniting the belief that better days are ahead. When we face grief, illness, or unexpected challenges, let us turn to prayer, seek encouragement from Scripture, and surround ourselves with a community of believers.

Remember, faith is not the absence of doubt; it is the decision to trust God despite our doubts. By planting our feet firmly in His promises, we foster resilience and courage to face life’s curveballs head-on.

Whatever storm you may be weathering today, be assured that God walks with you through the valley. Embrace your faith, plant your feet firmly in God, and never lose hope, for He is your refuge and strength, guiding you every step of the way.

Have a blessed day

Finding Peace: God’s Remedy for Stress

In today’s fast-paced world, stress can like a constant companion. Whether it emanates from work pressures, personal relationships, or the overwhelming demands of daily life, it often leaves us feeling anxious and fatigued. In these moments of turmoil, we may instinctively seek solace in various distractions or quick fixes, but what if the true remedy for stress lies in a more profound source?

The apostle Paul offers us timeless advice in Philippians 4:6, saying, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” This verse serves as a powerful reminder that when faced with anxiety, we are called to turn our hearts toward God through prayer.

The Power of Prayer

Prayer is not merely a ritual; it’s a lifeline a direct connection to God. When we pray, we open our hearts and minds, surrendering our worries and fears. Rather than trying to control every aspect of our lives, we acknowledge that we are not alone. God invites us to share our burdens and requests with Him, allowing His love and wisdom to envelop us.

1. Acknowledgment of Our Limitations

The first step in dealing with stress is recognizing that we cannot handle everything on our own. Life is inherently unpredictable, and trying to control every situation can drain our energy and peace. By bringing our worries to God, we admit our limitations and release our need for control. This act of surrender is liberating it allows us to shift our focus from our problems to God’s infinite power.

2. Supplication with Thanksgiving

Paul emphasizes the importance of combining prayer with thanksgiving. In a culture that often highlights what we lack, gratitude shifts our perspective. When we take time to reflect on our blessings, no matter how small, we cultivate a heart that is grateful rather than anxious. This doesn’t mean we dismiss our struggles; instead, we recognize the good alongside them.

Think of it this way: when stressful situations arise, try making a list of things you are thankful for. Not only does this practice remind us of God’s goodness, but it also helps us find clarity in chaos.

3. The Promise of Peace

The most beautiful promise that follows Paul’s instruction is found in Philippians 4:7: “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” This peace is not the absence of trouble but a deep-seated assurance that God is with us amid our storms.

When we commit our worries to God, He grants us a peace that surpasses human comprehension. It acts as a shield for our hearts and minds, enabling us to navigate life’s challenges without being overwhelmed.

Finding Comfort in Community

While individual prayer is vital, don’t underestimate the power of community. Sharing your burdens with trusted friends or family members can provide encouragement and support. When we gather, pray, and uplift one another, we experience God’s presence in profound ways.

Remember

Stress is an unavoidable part of life, but it doesn’t have to define us. By turning to prayer, offering our worries to God, and cultivating gratitude, we can experience a peace that transcends our understanding.

Let’s remember the profound truth in Philippians 4:6-7: God is ever-present, ready to hear our cries and comfort our hearts. Whatever challenges lie ahead, may we always choose to seek Him first, using prayer as our refuge and gratitude as our guide.

In times of stress, let us not stoop to the drama trap but rise above it, anchored in faith and peace. Embrace prayer as God’s remedy for stress, and watch as His calming presence envelops you, transforming your anxiety into serenity.

Have a blessed day 😊 ✝️

See with Eyes of Faith in the Midst of Crisis

In life, often find ourselves facing unexpected challenges and difficulties that can leave us feeling overwhelmed and lost. Whether it’s standing water in the basement, leaky pipes, family disappointments, grief, or job loss, these moments can shake us to our core. But how can a believer learn to see with eyes of faith in the midst of such crises?

The process of learning to see with eyes of faith is not a quick or easy one. In a world where information is readily available at our fingertips, we can mistakenly believe that growth and understanding can be fast-tracked. However, true growth and transformation take time, preparation, and application.

Even the disciples, who walked alongside Jesus and witnessed His mighty works, struggled with maintaining faith in the face of challenges. When faced with the daunting task of feeding thousands with limited resources, they were quick to turn to their own understanding and resources instead of fully trusting in God’s provision.

Developing eyes of faith requires a lifestyle of seeking God’s revelation in Scripture and cultivating an awareness of His ongoing presence within us. It involves stillness, quietness, and a willingness to trust in God’s sovereignty over our circumstances.

“Be still, be quiet, and know I, Jehovah, am God.”

In times of crisis, when we feel like we have reached our limits, ready to throw in the towel, we can find hope in the abiding presence of Christ. True peace, As we abide in Him, we can rest assured that He will provide for our needs and calm our anxiety and fears.

So, the next time you find yourself in the midst of a crisis, remember that it is an opportunity to draw near to Jesus and find rest in Him. Let go of the need to rely solely on your own resources and instead trust in the unchanging promise of God to bring peace and provision in the midst of uncertainty.

Counting Our Blessings Beyond Measure

In a world filled with challenges and uncertainties, it’s easy to get caught up in the struggles of daily life and lose sight of the blessings that surround us. Like family, how truly blessed we are to be in Florida and spend time with our adult granddaughter. Or how about the swaying of a palm tree, a gopher tortoise walking on the Sandy road, a sunset.

But what if we shifted our perspective and started counting our blessings not just once not twice, but a thousand times over? What if we believed that God’s grace extends far beyond our wildest imaginations?

We human beings, we are often limited by our own understanding and perception of the world. We tend to focus on what we lack, rather than what we do have, leading us to feelings of discontent and or inadequacy.

However, when we open our hearts and minds to the infinite possibilities of divine intervention, we begin to see blessings in every moment, big and small.

Perhaps it’s the smile of a stranger on a gloomy day, a kind word from a loved one when we need it most, or a serendipitous encounter that leads us down a new path. These are not mere coincidences but manifestations of God’s abundant love and grace, showered upon us in ways we may not always recognize.

When we embrace the concept of counting our blessings a thousand times over, we acknowledge the sheer magnitude of God’s blessings in our lives. It’s about cultivating an attitude of gratitude that transcends our immediate circumstances and connects us to a higher power that sees beyond our limitations.

So let’s challenge ourselves to see the world through the lens of abundance, to count our blessings not just once or twice, but a thousand times over. Let’s trust in the belief that God’s plans for us are grander than we can begin to comprehend, and that His blessings are infinite. In doing so, we open our hearts to receive the boundless love and grace that surrounds us each day.

May we never forget the countless blessings that grace our lives, and may we always have faith in the unfathomable depths of God’s love for us.

Dear Lord, thank you for the blessings we have and those yet to come. May we always be grateful for Your abundant love and grace. Amen.

Keep counting your blessings, for they are truly beyond measure. 🙏 #Gratitude #Blessed

God Reigns Supreme: The Power of Prayer in Times of Political

In a world marked political uncertainty and division, it is essential for us to remember that, regardless of who occupies the highest office or resides in the White House, God reigns supreme as the ultimate King. The shifting tides of politics may bring about change, but God’s sovereignty remains constant, unwavering, and unchanging.

As Christians, we are called to respond to these times with prayer, love, and unity, rather than succumbing to hatred,, and discord. Instead of allowing political differences to drive us apart, we should come together in prayer, seeking God’s guidance, wisdom, and peace to navigate through these turbulent times.

It is through the power of prayer that we can find solace, strength, and clarity amidst the chaos of the world. By focusing on our faith and trust in God’s providence, we can rise above the noise of politics and cultivate a spirit of love, compassion, and understanding towards one another.

No matter who sits in the Oval Office, let us remember that it is God who holds the ultimate authority and control over all things. In times of political change, let us turn to Him in prayer, seeking His will and grace to guide us in promoting unity, kindness, and harmony in our communities and beyond. As we embrace more prayer and less hate, we can truly reflect the love and light of God in a world that so desperately needs it.

One thing I do think about is it’s not if the current seared President is competent enough to win again ! It’s to me in my opinion is he fit to be running the country now? And the decisions he has made were they the right ones for our country?.

I do hope over time the people insist on those running for office be under the age of 68 or not eligible to run.

No matter who is in office they have their own agenda, some will benefit some won’t , vote who you think will help you and yours the most.

May you all have a blessed day

Hope

Hey everyone, it’s debbie here. Today, I want to talk about the power hope and faith in challenging times.

We often hear people saying “I hope everything works out” or ” Lets hope things get better,” but what does HOPE really mean? Hope is the expectation that something good is going to happen.

When faced with bad news, it’s easy to let fear and anxiety take over, making us feel overwhelmed and hopeless. But I’ve learned that we shouldn’t let the devil’s lies control us. Instead, we should be strong and believe that God is in control. He wants us to expect great things and have faith that everything will work out.

I remember I went to the eye doctor recently because my vision was blurry. I could have let fear set in when they referred me to a specialist for further glaucoma tests, but I chose to trust in God’s plan. Similarly, in 2018 when I was diagnosed with a nasopharyngeal tumor, I could have been consumed by fear, worries if it was cancer but with faith and the support of great medical professionals, like Dr Terrence Zipfel I underwent surgery at Salem Community Hospital in Salem Ohio and the tumor turned out to be benign.

I hold onto Jeremiah 29:11, which reminds me that God has plans for my welfare, not for evil, but for good and great things. By staying hopeful, reading the Bible, and strengthening my faith, I’ve learned to overcome fear and let go of worry.

So remember, even when things don’t go as planned, having faith and hope can lead us through difficult times. Ask God to show you his plan, it may be different than what you have in mind, and trust in God’s plan, pray, read your Bible, and watch your faith grow stronger. The devil has no place in our lives when we focus on God’s promises. Let’s choose hope over fear and walk confidently in faith.

Gave a blessed day.

Embracing Your Divine Worth: Overcoming Doubts and Emacing God’s Truth

In a world that bombards with messages of inadequacy and self-doubt, it can be easy to fall into the trap of feeling unworthy and unlovable. The enemy preys on our insecurities, whispering lies that we are not good enough, not smart enough, not beautiful enough. These lies can take root in our hearts, eroding our sense of self-worth clouding our perception of our true value.

But today, I want to remind you of the powerful that you are fearfully and wonderfully made by a loving Creator. You are not defined by your past mistakes, your shortcomings, or the negative words of others. Your worth does not come from external validation or worldly standards; it comes from the God who created you in His own image.

Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for good works which He has prepared in advance for us to do. This verse is a powerful affirmation of our divine purpose and significance. We are not accidents or afterthoughts; we are intentional creations designed for a specific plan and purpose.

So, my dear friends, I urge you to silence the voice of doubt and negativity that seeks to undermine your worth. Instead, speak words of truth and affirmation over yourself. Declare, “I am worthy, I am beautiful, I am forgiven, I am a unique creation of God.” Let go of guilt and shame, for the grace of God covers all our sins and shortcomings.

Do not allow the dysfunction of others to shape your self-perception. Remember that you are God’s prize possession, cherished and beloved beyond measure. Choose to focus on the positive, on the goodness and grace of God that surrounds you. Fill your mind and heart with thoughts of gratitude, love, and acceptance.

Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today seeking strength and wisdom to overcome our doubts and insecurities. Help us to see ourselves through Your eyes, as valuable and beloved children of God. Grant us the courage to let go of negativity and embrace the truth of Your Word. May we walk in confidence and assurance of our worth, knowing that we are fearfully and wonderfully made by You. Amen.

May we all choose to dwell on the positive, to embrace our divine worth, and to align our thoughts and actions with God’s truth. Let us walk boldly in the knowledge that we are worthy, loved, and cherished by our Heavenly Father.

Embracing Love Beyond Mother’s Day: A Monday Prayer for Every Heart

As the echoes of Mother’s Day celebrations fade, let us pause to reflect on the varied emotions this day stirs within us. For some, it’s a day filled with joy, connection, and love. For others, it may bring feelings of longing, loneliness, or unfulfilled dreams. In the midst of these diverse experiences, let us come together in prayer to solace, gratitude, and hope for the week ahead.

In a world where Mother’s Day can evoke a spectrum of emotions, let us first extend our thoughts to those who didn’t receive a call from their children on this special day. To them, we offer reassurance that they are loved, valued, and will be appreciated in due time. Each heart carries its own journey, and in the silence of unspoken words, may they find comfort in the knowledge that their worth transcends far beyond a single day of celebration.

For those who were blessed with calls and messages from their children, we rejoice in your happiness and cherish the bonds that unite families. Let the warmth of these connections sustain you throughout the week, serving as a reminder of the power of love shared between generations.

Turning our gaze to those who may be without a child or a mother, for reasons known and unknown, our prayers encompass you in a mantle of empathy and understanding. May you find peace in the midst of absence, strength in the face of longing, and the certainty that you are not alone in your journey.

As we embrace a new Monday, let us close our eyes and hearts in prayer, seeking guidance, grace, and compassion for ourselves and others. Let us carry the spirit of Mother’s Day forward, extending love beyond boundaries and nurturing connections that transcend time and circumstance.

In this moment of reflection and reverence, may we find the courage to face the challenges of the week ahead, the wisdom to embrace each experience with gratitude, and the kindness to share love unconditionally with all we encounter.

Let this Monday prayer be a beacon of hope, a source of strength, and a reminder that we are united in our humanity, bound by the threads of love that weave through every heart.

Wishing you a blessed week filled with moments of grace, joy, and connection. Amen.
