I wanted to take a moment and have a heart-to-heart with you about something that has been weighing on my mind lately. Let me ask you a question: Are you truly living your best life? Are you following your passions and pursuing your dreams fearlessly, or have you allowed fear and a lack of confidence to hold you back? If your answer doesn’t sit well with you, don’t worry, because I have some great news for you – it’s never too late to start again.
Too often, we find ourselves trapped in the comfort zone of a narrow life. We let our fears dictate our choices, playing it safe and sticking to what we know. But where does that really get us? It’s time to break free from those self-imposed limitations and make a decision right here, right now, that we will embrace a life of boldness, aggression, and unwavering confidence.
Now, let’s talk about fear. It’s a natural part of being human, and it’s okay to feel it. But here’s the secret: you don’t have to let fear control you. Instead, acknowledge the fear, but don’t let it paralyze you. Remember the wise words of John Wayne: “Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway.” Courage isn’t the absence of fear; it’s taking action despite the fear.
So, my dear friends, I encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and embrace new experiences, higher levels of your existing passions, and even explore completely unknown territories. Don’t let fear rob you of the incredible opportunities that lie ahead. Trust in yourself and God’s plan for you, and watch the magic unfold.
Each day is an opportunity for you to begin again, to rewrite your story, and to chase after your wildest dreams. Let go of the fear that has held you back for far too long, and instead, choose to live a life filled with the vibrancy and purpose that you deserve.
I hope this little reminder brings a spark to your day and ignites a fire within you to embrace life fearlessly. You are capable of incredible things, my friends, and I’m rooting for each and every one of you.
I’m going to take my own advice. We are relocating to a different state and I must admit there are times I am very fearful. Did I find the right place? Are we going to be able to afford it ? Is this the right time?
But you know I’ve been wanting to do this for years and it’s going to happen. It’s the best time now. So I will post updates along the way 😊
Wishing you all a blessed day filled with love, courage, and endless possibilities. Remember, it’s never too late to begin again. With love and light, Debbie 💖
The book of Ruth is a beautiful and powerful narrative that tells the story of a young Moabite woman named Ruth, who shows incredible loyalty and devotion to her mother-in-law Naomi in the face of great hardship.
The story takes place during the time of the judges, when there was a famine in the land of Israel. Naomi and her husband Elimelech, along with their two sons, decided to leave their hometown of Bethlehem and go to the country of Moab in search of food. While they were there, their sons married Moabite women: Orpah and Ruth.
Tragically, both of Naomi’s sons died, leaving her a widow with two daughters-in-law. Naomi decided to return to Bethlehem, and she urged her daughters-in-law to stay behind and start new lives for themselves. Orpah reluctantly agreed, but Ruth refused to leave Naomi’s side, saying: “Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God” (Ruth 1:16).
Together, Ruth and Naomi returned to Bethlehem, where they faced many struggles and challenges. Ruth was a foreigner in a land where she didn’t know anyone, and they had very little means of support. However, Ruth was determined to do all she could to help her mother-in-law, and she began gleaning in the fields to gather grain for them to eat.
It was through this work that Ruth met Boaz, a wealthy landowner who showed her great kindness and generosity. Boaz took notice of Ruth’s hard work and dedication to Naomi, and he went above and beyond to provide for them both.
Eventually, Boaz and Ruth fell in love, and they were married. The book of Ruth ends with the birth of their son Obed, who would become the grandfather of King David.
Insights on The book of Ruth. It’s a beautiful story that teaches us about loyalty, faithfulness, and the blessings that come from obedience to God. The story of Naomi and Ruth serves as a reminder that even in difficult times, God is with us and provides for our needs.
From this story, we can learn to reflect God’s character in our everyday interactions with others. Just as Ruth showed sacrificial love and Boaz displayed loyalty to his kin, we too can demonstrate these qualities in our relationships. We can also be inspired by Naomi’s selflessness in planning for Ruth’s future, putting the needs of others before our own.
The book of Ruth reminds us that God cares for the outcasts of society and expects us to do the same. We are called to love and care for those who are marginalized or in need, just as God does. It serves as a call to greater responsibility and faithfulness before God, even in challenging times.
As we apply the lessons from the book of Ruth to our lives today, let us remember that we belong to a loving, faithful, and powerful God who never fails to care for His children. Let us respond to His divine grace with faithful obedience, even in the midst of a godless culture. Are you willing to embrace these teachings and live them out in your own life?
At its core, the book of Ruth is a story about the power of love, loyalty, and devotion. It shows us that even in the midst of great hardship and struggle, there is always hope for a better future. It also speaks to the importance of treating others with kindness and compassion, and the rewards that come from doing so.

I In our daily lives, it’s not uncommon to encounter situations that trigger anger or frustration. However, holding onto that anger and nurturing grudges only harms us and allows negative influences to take hold in our lives. In this blog post, we will explore the importance of letting go of anger, understanding its root causes, and choosing love and forgiveness instead. By doing so, we can protect ourselves from the lurking traps set by the devil and foster healthier, more fulfilling relationships with others.
Acknowledging Our Emotions: Anger is a natural human emotion that we all experience at some point. It is how we handle and process that anger that truly matters. The Bible doesn’t condemn anger but provides guidance on how to deal with it. Ephesians 4:26 advises us to “not let the sun go down while you are still angry,” reminding us to address and resolve our anger in a timely manner.
Working Through Anger: When we find ourselves feeling angry, it is essential to give ourselves space and grace to process our emotions. Taking the time to reflect on the root cause of our anger and understanding that we all make mistakes can help us gain perspective. It’s important to remember that holding grudges only perpetuates negativity and prevents growth and healing.
Choosing Love and Forgiveness: Rather than allowing anger to consume us, we must choose love and forgiveness as our guiding principles. Recognizing that everyone is capable of making mistakes can help us extend grace towards others. By letting go of grudges and forgiving those who have wronged us, we release ourselves from the burden of anger and open ourselves up to a more peaceful and joy-filled life.
Guarding Against Negative Influences: The devil seeks to exploit our weaknesses and tempt us into harboring bitterness and unforgiveness. We must remain vigilant and not succumb to his traps. Holding onto anger and grudges only gives the devil a foothold in our lives, leading to further negativity and isolation. Instead, we can choose to resist these influences by nurturing a spirit of love, compassion, and understanding.
Remember Letting go of anger and grudges is a powerful act of self-liberation and empowerment. By choosing love, forgiveness, and understanding, we protect ourselves from falling into the devil’s snares and cultivate healthier relationships with others. Remember, it’s okay to feel anger, but it’s how we handle and release that anger that defines us. So why not make the decision today to let go of grudges and embrace a life filled with love and forgiveness? The choice is in our hands.
Good morning, beautiful souls! Today, I want to talk about something close to my heart – spreading the word of God.
You know, many of us may feel inadequate or unqualified to be ambassadors for Christ, but let me tell you a little secret: God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called. He chooses ordinary people like you and me, who have faced hardships and come out stronger on the other side.
Take a look at my own journey. I was an only child, my family was not rich but we had all we needed and I was loved and respected by my parents, but I was rebellious swore like a truck driver all my life , had many friends living family and sometimes I just felt lost.
I went through an abusive relationship, in my 1st marriage but by God’s grace, I found an amazing second husband. And then, I was diagnosed with not one, but three different bone conditions, three different inherited blood clot disorders and many other life challenges in between.
I felt depressed, put on a lot of weight but through prayer and self-discovery, I ended up becoming an ordained minister. Can you believe it? God truly has a sense of humor!
So, my friends, you don’t have to be perfect. No one is. All you need is a willing heart and a desire to share the love and truths of God with others. Your life, with all its ups and downs, is a testament to God’s touch and your strength. That alone makes you qualified to teach and inspire others.
If you think you’re not good enough, smart enough, or knowledgeable enough, let me tell you this: you are wrong. You have the power within you to make a difference. Embrace your unique journey and use it as a platform to spread the word of God.
Let’s come together, my fellow warriors for Christ. Join me in this incredible mission of love, hope, and salvation. We are in this together, and with God by our side, we can do amazing things.
Remember, you are loved, you are chosen, and you are more than enough. Have a blessed day, filled with joy, love, and positivity. 🙏✨ #SpreadTheWord #GodsGrace #EmbraceYourJourney #GodIsGood
Back in time in the ancient land of Canaan, there lived a man named Abraham. He was a righteous and honorable man, known for his deep faith in the one true God. Abraham was blessed with two sons, Ishmael and Isaac.
Ishmael, the elder son, was born to Abraham and his wife Sarah’s maidservant, Hagar. As Ishmael grew older, he became skilled in hunting and survival in the desert. His father loved him dearly and saw great potential in him.
Isaac, on the other hand, was born to Abraham and his wife Sarah in their old age. Isaac was a gentle and wise young man who possessed great compassion and empathy towards others. His birth was seen as a miracle by his parents.
As the brothers grew older, differences started to arise between them. Ishmael, being strong and independent, often enjoyed exploring the vast desert and its mysteries. He found peace and solitude in the wilderness, developing a deep bond with nature.
Isaac, on the other hand, felt a powerful connection to his father’s teachings and the spiritual world. He dedicated his time to studying and understanding the ways of God, seeking guidance and wisdom.
One fateful day, when Isaac was a young man, a test of faith was placed upon Abraham by God. He was instructed to offer his beloved son as a sacrifice on Mount Moriah. Abraham, though devastated by this command, trusted in God’s plan and prepared to carry out the sacrifice.
As Abraham and Isaac journeyed together up the mountain, Ishmael learned of their mission. Filled with concern for his brother, he followed them quietly from a distance. Deep in his heart, Ishmael hoped that there would be a way to prevent the sacrifice and protect his beloved sibling.
When Abraham and Isaac reached the mountaintop, Isaac willingly submitted himself to his father’s hands, placing his trust in God’s will. Just as Abraham prepared to fulfill the divine command, a voice from heaven called out, guiding him to stop.
God had seen their devotion and faith and provided a ram caught in a nearby thicket as a substitute for Isaac. In that moment, Abraham witnessed God’s mercy and grace, and he praised Him for His endless love.
Ishmael, who had been silently watching from afar, emerged from the shadows and rushed towards his brother, relieved to see him unharmed. The brothers embraced, their bond strengthened by the shared experience and the knowledge that they were indeed loved and protected.
From that day forward, Ishmael and Isaac cherished their relationship, understanding the value of family and the importance of faith. Each brother took a different path in life, but their connection remained strong, as they learned from one another and celebrated their differences.
The Parable of the Prodigal Son (also known as the parable of the Two Brothers, Lost Son, Loving Father, or of the Forgiving Father) is one of the parables of Jesus Christ in the Bible, appearing in Luke 15:11–32.
Today, I want to talk about the story of the Prodigal Son and how it relates to our lives. The Prodigal Son is a powerful story about forgiveness and redemption, but often overlooked is the story of the second son who was just as troubled.
The second son’s story teaches us about judgment, anger, jealousy, and hostility, all traits that we may find in ourselves if we look deep enough. We all have our own pig pens, whether it be drug and alcohol addiction, gambling, food addictions, or any other unhealthy habits that keep us from living a full life.
But the message of the Prodigal Son is a message of hope. No matter how low we may feel, we are never too low to turn our lives around and seek forgiveness and redemption. Just like the father in the story who forgave his son’s wrongdoings, God is always ready to forgive us and welcome us back into His loving embrace.
So let’s take this opportunity to reflect on where we are in our own lives, and ask for forgiveness for any wrongdoings we have committed. Let’s also extend forgiveness and love to those who have hurt us, just as the father in the story did.
Remember, we are all children of God, and He loves us no matter what. All we have to do is ask for forgiveness and try to live a better way.
Let’s spread positivity and hope on social media today by sharing this message and encouraging others to turn their lives around.
The parable of the prodigal son is perhaps one of the most well-known parables mentioned in Scripture. Not only does it paint a picture of God’s love for us, but it also demonstrates how we should love our brothers and sisters in Christ.
The Parable of the Prodigal Son
In the gospel of Luke, Jesus tells the well-known parable of the prodigal son. A son asks his father for his inheritance, then squanders it recklessly as he lives a life of indulgence. With nothing left of his fortune, he is forced to work as a hired hand for a pig farmer. He is so destitute that he longs to eat the food of the pigs. Realizing that his father’s servants have better working conditions, he resolves to return to his father, beg forgiveness, and ask to be his servant.
However, upon arriving at his father’s house, he is welcomed with loving arms. His father is overwhelmed with joy at his son’s return, and holds a feast in his honor:
So he got up and went back to his father. While he was still a long way off, his father caught sight of him, and was filled with compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him and kissed him. His son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I no longer deserve to be called your son.’ But his father ordered his servants, ‘Quickly bring the finest robe and put it on him; put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Take the fattened calf and slaughter it. Then let us celebrate with a feast, because this son of mine was dead, and has come to life again; he was lost, and has been found.’ Then the celebration began. — Luke 15:20-24
However, the prodigal son’s older brother, who has remained serving in his father’s house, does not share his father’s joy. Instead, he is jealous that his father has not honored him. His father urges him not to resent his brother, but to instead be happy for him.
The Love of God the Father
The story of the prodigal son is a picture of God’s love for us as His children. God’s love for us does not depend on our faithfulness; it is unconditional. He loved us while we were still sinners. Though we are demanding and do not remain faithful, God is still our faithful and loving Father. When we come to repent of our sins, He is willing to forgive us and welcomes us with open arms.
“…I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.” — Jeremiah 31:3 (NRSVCE)
Loving the Family of God
The example of the elder son demonstrates how we should not treat other believers. We are all equal in His sight — sinners saved by God’s grace. Jesus tells this parable shortly after a group of Pharisees and scribes complained about how Jesus was fraternizing with tax collectors and sinners. Jesus responds to their criticisms with the parable of the lost sheep and the parable of the lost coin, demonstrating His willingness to pursue sinners.
If Jesus, the King over all creation, values the least of these, how much more so should we? We should not hold ourselves in higher regard than those whose sins we deem “worse” than ours, but love and accept them as fellow members of the church. We are to share in their joys and sorrows and live in harmony with them.
As a body is one though it has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though many, are one body, so also Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free persons, and we were all given to drink of one Spirit…
The eye cannot say to the hand, “I do not need you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I do not need you.” Indeed, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are all the more necessary… If [one] part suffers, all the parts suffer with it; if one part is honored, all the parts share its joy. — 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, 21-22, 26
Life can be challenging at times. It can seem like no matter how hard we try, we just can’t seem to catch a break. We may feel stuck in a rut and unable to move forward. However, it’s important to remember that there are ways to get out of a funk and find joy and happiness once again.
One of the most important things to do is to keep looking up. This means to keep your eyes fixed on the positive aspects of life and not to dwell on the negative. By focusing on the good, you can start to shift your mindset and outlook on life.
Another key to getting out of a funk is to do your best. It’s easy to become complacent and give up when things aren’t going well, but instead, strive to put forth your best effort in everything you do. This will help you build confidence and give you a sense of control over your life.
Having a positive mindset is also crucial. When you think positively, you attract positive things into your life. Therefore, make an effort to think positively and focus on the things that bring you joy. Rather than the negative.
Meditation and prayer can also be effective tools in getting out of a funk. Spending time in quiet reflection or talking to a higher power can help you regain a sense of peace and balance.
Exercise is another powerful way to improve your mood and lift your spirits. Engaging in physical activity releases endorphins, which are natural mood-boosters.
Reading your Bible and seeking spiritual guidance can also be helpful. The Bible is full of inspiring stories and messages that can provide comfort and hope in difficult times.
Lastly, helping others can also be an effective way to get out of a funk. By focusing on the needs of others, you can shift your attention away from your own problems and find purpose and meaning.
In today’s society, it can be challenging to remember the importance of self-respect and self-awareness. With so much emphasis placed on outward validation and success, we often forget that true happiness comes from within. In this essay, we will explore ways to live authentically, respect ourselves, recognize our talents and intelligence, and speak positively to ourselves.
First and foremost, it is essential for individuals to understand their worth and value as human beings. The Bible reminds us in Psalm 139:14 that we are “fearfully and wonderfully made.” This means that we are all unique, with our own set of talents, strengths, and weaknesses. By embracing our individuality and recognizing our worth, we can live more fulfilling lives.
One way to show self-respect is by setting clear boundaries and saying no when necessary. We must prioritize our mental and physical well-being, even if it means prioritizing ourselves over others. This can be challenging at times, but it is a necessary step in living authentically.
Another essential aspect of self-awareness is recognizing our talents and intelligence. Proverbs 22:29 tells us, “Do you see a person skilled in their work? They will serve before kings; they will not serve before officials of low rank.” This verse highlights the importance of recognizing and using our God-given talents to achieve success and fulfillment.
When it comes to speaking positively to ourselves, it can be helpful to practice affirmations daily. Affirmations are positive statements that can help reprogram our negative thought patterns. For example, repeating phrases like “I am worthy” or “I am capable” “ I am smart”can boost our confidence and self-esteem.
May we all strive to live our best lives and fulfill our God-given potential. Amen.
Mother’s Day is a day to celebrate and honor the women in our lives – our mothers and grandmothers. These strong, loving and nurturing women play such a significant role in shaping our lives, and it is important that we take the time to show them how much they mean to us.
It is essential, however, that we remember that our mothers and grandmothers, like all humans are not perfect and are doing the best they can for the situation they are in. They may make mistakes or fall short of our expectations at times, but we should always show them respect and appreciation for all the hard work and love they have poured into raising us.
Whether it’s a phone call, a lunch date, or a heartfelt card, taking the time to reach out and show our mothers and grandmothers how much they are loved and appreciated can go a long way. It is an opportunity to strengthen our relationships with these important figures in our lives and make them feel valued and cherished.
But what if your mom has passed away? Celebrating Mother’s Day can be a difficult and emotional experience for those who have lost their mothers. It’s natural to feel sadness and longing, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still honor and celebrate the memory of your mother. One way to do so is by cooking her favorite meal and sharing it with loved ones while reminiscing about fond memories with her. Visiting her grave or planting flowers or a tree in her honor can also be a meaningful gesture. Looking at old family photos and recalling funny stories or moments can bring comfort and help keep her memory alive. While it may be hard to accept that our mothers are no longer physically with us, celebrating and honoring their memory can provide a sense of connection and comfort on Mother’s Day and throughout the year.
So, let us take this Mother’s Day as an opportunity to celebrate the wonderful women who have influenced and shaped us, and to let them know just how much they mean to us!
Regardless of our age, it’s important to always show respect to our mothers and grandmothers. These women have played crucial roles in our lives, often serving as our primary caregivers and role models. They have stood by us through thick and thin, providing us with unconditional love and support. No matter what we say or do, they are there to cheer us on and offer advice when we need it most. Never shut your mother or grandmother out of your life : in fact they are they first people you go to.
Always make time for her or them. They are always so happy when you reach out to them.
Our mothers and grandmothers only want what’s best for us and have our best interests at heart. It’s important to cherish and honor these special women in our lives, as they have helped shape us into the people we are today.
Remember, no one will ever love you more than your mother and grandmother because you are a part of them.
