🌸 Happy Womens Day ðŸŒ¸

In sisterhood, we stand tall and strong,
Bound together, where we belong.
On this day, our spirits soar,
March 8th, as we explore.

United as one, in every way,
Embracing each step, come what may.
When one stumbles, we extend our hand,
Lifting each other, helping us to stand.

In times of doubt, we’ll be the voice,
Celebrating each other, our ultimate choice.
For beauty resides in our unity,
In every triumph, in every plea.

No room for judgment, no space for strife,
We champion each other, in this journey of life.
Through highs and lows, we persist and thrive,
For we are women, strong and alive.

So let’s embrace our power, let it shine,
In solidarity, our souls entwine.
For together we rise, hand in hand,
Forever sisters, together we’ll stand.

Storytelling- A Woman Named Eleanor

Once in a small New Mexico town, there lived a woman named Eleanor. At the age of 69, she found herself at a crossroads in life. Her children, living miles away, proposed the idea of moving closer to them. A decision that seemed like a golden opportunity to be near family in her golden years.

Eleanor, with a heart full of hope, sold her home and possessions, anticipating a tranquil life in the vicinity of her beloved family. However, the reality turned out to be quite different. Instead of having a place to call her own, as she thought according to her family: she discovered she was destined to live with her relatives, feeling like an unwelcome burden, and she was heartbroken because she loved her space and was very capable of living on her own.

The well-intentioned family couldn’t comprehend why Eleanor wasn’t overjoyed with the arrangement, they told her she could save her money from her home sale and have a good retirement.

To them, it was a gesture of love and togetherness. Yet, Eleanor’s heart was heavy with grief, sadness, and loneliness. She longed for the comfort of her own space, surrounded by her cherished possessions that are now mixed up because there is no room to see all of them.

In the story, Eleanor’s reluctance wasn’t rooted in ingratitude or selfishness. She had envisioned her twilight years in a place of her own, a haven where she could savor the solitude she craved. The abrupt change left her feeling uprooted and stifled, unable to live life on her terms.

Stubborn but resourceful, Eleanor quietly researched homes and got pre approval from local bank. She didn’t want to drain her account just in case.

The process took several months. In secret, she managed to purchase a small place, furniture and slowly removed boxes she had brought with her where she could create a sanctuary for herself. With determination and a spark of rebellion, she moved out and embarked on a new chapter of her life.

Initially met with disapproval, Eleanor’s decision to reclaim her independence was a shock to her family. However, she stood firm in her belief that happiness was a personal journey, not to be sacrificed for the sake of conformity.

Eleanor flourished in her newfound freedom, making friends and cultivating a vibrant life well into her 90s. When the time came to pass on her legacy, she left her cherished home to her grandchildren, a testament to the importance of living life authentically, true to oneself, even when it means taking a path less traveled.
