Today, I want to share some thoughts about healing Scriptures and the profound message they convey. These verses have been a source of solace and strength for me when I’ve needed healing in my body, mind, or spirit. When I turn to God’s word, it provides answers to my afflictions and refocuses my perspective, paving the way for healing. It’s a reminder that God will take care of me, and I find comfort in knowing that His word speaks into my situation today. Get into Gods word and he will speak to you, and take care of you, also.

Jeremiah 30:17 holds a special place in my heart. It serves as a reminder that God will never leave me. His words are alive and active, addressing my need for physical healing. This verse beautifully illustrates the biblical concepts of restoration, healing, and wholeness.

Speaking of Jeremiah, he was a prophet called to deliver God’s truth to Judah during a challenging time. Back then, Israel and Judah were in dire straits and headed for destruction. However, God intervened, promising to restore health to His people. He assured them that they would not only be free from bondage but also regain their fortunes and possess the land He had given them. It’s a powerful testament to God’s commitment to restoring His people, even when they were burdened by sin and guilt.

So, what does Jeremiah 30:17 mean for me today? In a world filled with distressing reports, a society distracted by technology, and the challenges of a broken spirit and hurting body, it’s easy to lose sight of the truth within this verse. But it’s a truth that holds immense significance for me.

The first part of Jeremiah 30:17 emphasizes that God uses restoration to bring back health. He not only can restore us but is willing to do so. The Hebrew word for restore, “arukah,” means “to recover, to heal, and to restore to health.” God’s restorative power transcends our natural understanding of healing, making it even better than it was before. When I think about how I confessed Christ as my savior and was cleansed to become a new creation, I’m reminded of the depth of God’s healing and restoration.

The second part of the verse promises that God will heal our wounds. Our physical well-being is important to Him, and keeping my hope centered on God and the healing Scriptures in the Bible guides me along the right path. His words are like life-giving medicine for my afflictions, just as Proverbs 15:4 suggests.

Jeremiah and his people endured bondage, sickness, and hardship. Yet, God promised a life of restoration and wholeness despite their circumstances. This is a powerful reminder that even when my afflictions and sicknesses seem overwhelming, God is right there with me, ready to heal, comfort, and love me back to freedom. I’m never alone in my struggles.

Focusing on Jeremiah 30:17 fills my heart with hope and freedom. It reminds me that God’s restoration is more beautiful than my human mind can comprehend. Placing my faith in the willingness of my Savior to redeem and lead me back to Him, I find comfort. As I fix my gaze on Christ, my physical conditions encounter the one who can truly heal and restore me.

Reflecting on these thoughts, I can’t help but ponder a couple of questions:

One essential lesson I’ve learned is integrity, which extends even to mundane situations like shopping. It reminds me that we should be mindful of our actions in all aspects of life, as God’s teachings are not confined to the church but encompass our daily routines.

Rebuke the devil by making choices that reflect your faith. Put the grocery cart back, be honest when you receive incorrect change, and respond to road rage with patience and kindness. These seemingly small actions demonstrate your commitment to living out your faith in your everyday life.

Remember the words of Matthew 25:23, “His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.'” By being faithful in the small things, we prepare ourselves for greater responsibilities in God’s kingdom and strengthen our relationship with Jesus.

I want to be kind to those who are not kind to me.

I want to bear good fruit

I want to be good to those who are not good to me.

I want to be nice to others on days I feel like crap and just want to be alone.

I want to be like Jesus

I want power over the devil.

In doing so, we position ourselves to receive the abundant blessings He has in store for us.


James 4:7 reminds us that resisting the devil and experiencing God’s protection and guidance begin with submission to His will. When we seek God’s wisdom, take responsibility for our reactions, and embrace obedience, we position ourselves to live a blessed and purposeful life.   7. Draw Inspiration from the Bible:
    The Bible offers guidance on speaking with intention and love. Here are two verses to inspire you:

a. Proverbs 15:1 (NIV) – “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.” This verse underscores the power of gentleness and how it can diffuse conflicts.

b. Ephesians 4:29 (NIV) – “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.” This verse emphasizes the importance of speaking words that uplift and benefit those who hear them.
